Power is always present in collaboration. Who brings the money? Who gets credit? Who gets heard?
Naming those dynamics early creates space for more authentic dialogue, and equitable action.
It’s not about blame. It’s about being mindful stewards of influence.
Align on Language Early
Terms like “equity,” “impact,” or “case management” don’t mean the same thing to everyone.

Plan for the End…Even at the Beginning
Not every partnership is forever. That’s OK.
But when you plan for what an exit or transition looks like before things get complicated, you give your partnership room to evolve without disruption.

Partnerships aren’t static – they’re living, dynamic relationships.
Quarterly check-ins help name what’s working, what’s not, and what’s needed to keep moving forward with integrity.
Add prompts like:

✔️ What’s getting stuck?
✔️ What support would be helpful right now?
