At PAGE Capacity Builders, we often say: “The right partnership doesn’t just expand your reach – it increases your chances of sustaining.”
That belief has shaped the way we work for years, and in 2024, it came to life through one of our favorite client stories.
A Story of Strategic Partnership Matchmaking
A nonprofit came to us with a challenge:
They wanted to expand their services to reach more people in a neighboring part of the city. But new space and staff costs made that expansion feel out of reach – and out of alignment with their budget and team capacity.
Meanwhile, just a few zip codes away, another organization had a beautiful, underutilized flex space. Even better? They were serving the same population and offering training programs that naturally complemented the first organization’s services.
We brought them together through intentional, values-aligned partnership building.
With a shared agreement, clear roles, regular check-ins, and a commitment to mutual success, participants began transitioning between the two programs with ease.
No duplication. No confusion. Just access, alignment, and community-centered impact.
Oh, and funders loved it. (More on that in a future post.)
Why Partnership Matters
We don’t take on this work just to check boxes or meet deliverables. We do it because it matters—because it affects real people’s lives. And we know that when you do this complex work with the right people, everything changes.
At PAGE Capacity Builders, we walk beside our clients—not ahead of them.
That’s why we invest in building real relationships and long-term trust. Because those are the partnerships that lead to real, lasting change.
So what is that partnership special sauce?!
Every strong partnership starts with a strong foundation, and that foundation is built on trust. And trust is built on so many important components of human relationships…such as:
→ Transparency
→ Consistent and caring communications
→ Shared values
→ Follow through
→ Clear roles and decision-making processes
That’s why we created our free Partnership Agreement Template – a simple, practical tool to help you set expectations, define responsibilities, and build momentum from the start.
Pro Tip: Have anyone involved in the partnership review the agreement before finalizing it. That step alone can make all the difference in getting buy-in and ensuring clarity.
